one a.m. | Poem

one a.m.

immense city lights
clicking of boots on concrete
cigarette smoke as it
mixes in with my breath

dizzying, blinding lights
dancing to made-up music
kisses trailing down my neck
in a one-room apartment

pulsating, vibrating light
thin jackets and holey gloves
free black coffee at the
barren corner gas station

black-and-white polaroids
chest swells like a balloon
sharing cheap red wine
swigging straight from the bottle

i am weightless
